J, I can see why
you wanted to avoid it
the flames are rising
from the heads of rebels
and state toss projectiles
constantly hitting the timid
in the midst and yet there is
no escape from the structures
no matter where you go it follows
you there the smoke, brimstone,
rapid gunfire bleeding through shirts
slow motion agony repetition images
that peck at us reducing us to
a choice of jump or burn
or eat human flesh from the living
for life is painful thus
is it God's will
that it be so
